Theresa Lynette Neal

Jul 6, 1966 — Sep 8, 2026

Theresa Lynette Neal, age 60, of Chicago, Illinois, was born on July 6, 1966, in the city she loved and called home throughout her life. Theresa was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, cousin, friend, and a mother figure to many. She was well known throughout Chicago and touched countless lives with her beautiful spirit, generous heart, and unforgettable smile.

Theresa devoted her life to Christ at a young age. Her faith was an important part of who she was. She was raised at White Stone Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, where she also served and remained connected to the church and her faith.

Theresa attended John Marshall High School in Chicago and later earned her GED. But the greatest lessons Theresa taught were not found in a classroom. She taught people through the way she lived - with love, generosity, loyalty, and compassion.

Theresa did not have children of her own, but that never stopped her from being a mother. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children and poured her whole heart into them. She was there to love them, encourage them, protect them, and make sure they knew they were loved. Her nieces and nephews held a very special place in her heart.

Theresa departed this life unexpectedly, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever cherish her. She is preceded in death by: Her beloved mother, Rosie Neal; her grandmother, Corene Ruth Neal; her grandfather, West Neal; and her nephew, Darion Neal, who passed before her and whose wife is Kisha Neal.

Theresa leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving step-grandfather, Joe Hunt; her husband, Wade Myles; her brother, Darrin Neal (Pastydena Neal); her sister, Vetress Boyce; her stepchildren, Michelle, Jessica and Christopher Matthews; her grandchildren, Zaria Jones, Jayden, Osai and Naiomi Matthews; her beloved nieces and nephews: Darrin Neal (Titiana Neal), Denosha Neal, Tiffany Coleman (Maurice Coleman), Precious Smith, and Deiva Johnson.

Theresa also leaves behind a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever remember her love, laughter, generosity, and beautiful smile.

Though her time with us ended without warning, the love she gave will continue through the lives of everyone she touched
