Sara Nash

Sara Nash was born on August 13, 1946 in Betonia, MS to Robert Carthans and Annie Mae Washington. She was the baby girl of three siblings who all preceded her death. She was educated in the Mississippi school system. 

Sara gave birth to two children before marrying Eddie Nash Jr and having two more kids. One child, Stephen, preceded her in death in 1996. 

Sara moved to Chicago in 1983 where she met the love of her life, Charlie Woodard. Together they made a home and family for the next 43 years. Sara loved being a homemaker, raising her children and taking care of her family. She loved shopping, and she also enjoyed bowling. 

Sara departed this life on August 11, 2026. She will truly be missed. 

She leaves to mourn: Three children, Janice, Kim and Byron; her husband, Charlie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She also leaves her dear friend, Ruth Mayfield
