Mary Alice Osburn

Mary Alice Osburn was born on May 21, 1936 in Spouts, Alabama. She was born to her parents, George Washington Dobynes and Mammie Dobyne. Both parents preceded her in death. 

Mary attended Lincoln High School in Marion, Alabama. She also trained as a Nursing Assistant. 

Mary met William Osburn Jr. and the two were married on September 4, 1954. They settled in Chicago, IL. Through their union, they brought into the world three daughters; Charlen, Kathy and Babs. 

Mary was a very loving and caring person. She always put family first. She was a devout Jehovah Witness. She also loved socializing, going to get-togethers, the movies, and traveling. 

Mary departed this life on July 22, 2026, at 90 years old. She is preceded in death by: Her husband, William Osburn; her daughters, Charlene Sumler and Kathy Johnson; and her granddaughter, Charmaine Osburn. 

She is survived by: Her daughter, Babs Cusic; grandsons, Paul Osburn, Jeremy Osburn and Allen Osburn; granddaughter, Monique Cooper (Michael); her grandson, David Sumler; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
