Marvin Terell Johnson

Marvin Terell Johnson was born on April 19, 1971 in Chicago, IL to proud parents, M.T. and Lillian Johnson. Both parents preceded him in death.

 Marvin attended Howe Elementary School, and graduated from Austin High School. 

Throughout his life, Marvin worked various jobs; for the Circuit Clerk of Cook County, Farmington Food Inc., and as a car detailer for Deluxe Auto Group. 

Marvin married Tareai Woodard on May 2, 2010. Shortly after, he dedicated his life to Christ by joining New Rock of Ages Church, under the leadership of Pastor Henry Farmby. 

Marvin was always quiet, but he always greeted others with a warm, friendly smile. His quiet presence, and kind demeanor will be remembered by all who knew him. 

Marvin departed this life on July 14, 2026. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: His only child, Samuel (Courtney) Jefferson of Sacramento, CA; two brothers, Frederick (Emma) and Terry Johnson of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Vanessa (Larry) Riggins of Springfield, IL and Angela Young-Amos of Leland, MS; three aunts, Juanita Johnson-Green of Leland, MS, Rosemary Johnson-Rodgers and Edith Johnson-Coffey of Greenville, MS; one uncle, Michael Johnson of Jackson, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
