Lovie Marie Moore

Mar 5, 1939 — Oct 9, 2026

Born on March 5, 1939, to the loving parents Elizabeth and Sylvester Watkins, Lovie Marie Moore began a life that would be filled with love, faith, compassion, and devotion to those around her.

Her spiritual journey was an important part of her life, and she was baptized at Living Word Christian Center. She received her education at Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee, where she proudly graduated with the Class of 1957. Following graduation, she moved to Chicago, Illinois. In 1972, she attended Malcolm X College, majoring in business.

Throughout her working years, Lovie dedicated herself to a career in customer service, where her natural warmth, genuine compassion, and caring spirit were reflected in the way she served others. She took pride in her work and had a special ability to make those she encountered feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. For her, customer service was more than simply a job; it was an opportunity to connect with people, extend kindness, and make a positive difference in their day. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and sincere concern for others left a lasting impression on those she had the pleasure of serving.

On October 9, 2026, surrounded by her immediate family, Lovie transitioned from this earthly life into eternity. Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by: Her beloved parents, Elizabeth and Sylvester Watkins; her brothers, Sylvester Jr., A.C., and Fred; her cherished son, Warren; and her precious grandsons, DeShon and Donnie.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: Her loving children, Michael, Lorraine (and her husband, Curtis), and Erica; her beloved grandchildren, Lorrie, Ashley, Joe, Jason, Daryl, and Morelia; and the love of her life, Earnest. She also leaves a legacy of love and treasured memories that will forever be carried in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness.

Her life was a beautiful reminder that the greatest legacy we leave behind is not measured by what we possess, but by the love we give, the kindness we show, and the difference we make in the lives of others.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
