It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cynthia Ann “Cynt” Grady, who departed this life on August 8, 2026, at the age of 69.
Cynthia was truly a force to be reckoned with. She was feisty, funny, outspoken, and never afraid to speak her mind. She had a loud, unforgettable personality and a presence that could fill any room. When Cynt walked in, you knew she was there! She was unapologetically herself, and that is one of the many things her family and loved ones will always remember about her.
But behind that strong, feisty personality was a woman with an incredibly kind and caring heart. Cynt was someone you could call when you didn’t know what to do. Somehow, she always had a solution, a different way of looking at things, or just the right words to help you keep going. She was supportive, encouraging, and always willing to give advice when someone needed it. Whether you needed someone to listen, someone to make you laugh, or someone to tell you the truth, Cynt was there.
She had a special way of making people feel like things were going to be okay. Her words of encouragement could lift your spirits, and her presence brought comfort in moments when life felt overwhelming. She may have been loud, feisty, and sometimes brutally honest, but her heart was just as big as her personality.
Cynt loved her family deeply. She was a woman who showed up for the people she loved and made sure they knew they were never alone. Her love, support, laughter, advice, and unforgettable personality created memories that her family will carry with them forever.
Cynt is preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor Grady and Charles Grady.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her beloved son, Walter Grady; her sister, Tina Marie Grady; her grandchildren, Dexter Crockett, Darius Winfield, Myria Winfield, Leshawn Madden, Christopher Madden, Layla Grady, Richard Madden; her great-grandchildren, Darius Winfield Jr., Darion Bailey, Dereaya Winfield, Javion Winfield, Darian Winfield, Sederous Winfield, Jada Winfield and Dexter Crockett Jr.; and her nieces, Imarri (Frederick) Hilliard, Chezarae Grady, Alecia Rhone, Tyana Rhone, and Micha Pullen. She also leaves behind a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
There will never be another Cynthia Ann Grady.
Her voice, her laughter, her jokes, her advice, her encouragement, her kindness, and that big personality will be deeply missed. The memories she created and the love she gave will continue to live on through everyone she touched.
Although our hearts are broken by her absence, we can find comfort knowing that Cynt’s life made a difference. She was loved, she was needed, she was appreciated, and she will forever be a part of the lives she touched.
Rest peacefully, Cynt.
